NEW TELEHEALTH SOLUTION ADDRESSES UNIQUE NEEDS OF SENIOR CARE FACILITIES AFFECTED BY COVID-19

Melbourne, FL – April 13, 2020 – Sanvis Health, makers of the CareSynchrony® socio-clinical platform for senior care, announced today the release of CareHero, a cloud-based virtual care offering tailored for the exceptional challenges that senior living communities are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic. CareHero™ helps community operators of Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care facilities navigate the multitude of primary care and specialty physicians that their residents rely on to manage their chronic conditions. By further minimizing even essential visitors to these facilities, community operators can protect their seniors and reduce the risk of exposure from external carriers of the Coronavirus.

Elderly are typically not as tech-savvy as younger generations so they may need assistance initiating virtual visits. Additionally, seniors prefer to be cared for by the same physicians they and their families already know and trust, who may or may not offer their own telehealth services. Communities have struggled to adapt and adopt telehealth because it’s usually driven from the physician to the patient. The variety of telehealth options on the market makes it difficult for overwhelmed community staff to become proficient on all the systems used by physician practices. CareHero™ is a unified approach that puts the communities at the center of the connection between their residents and doctors. It’s a hub-and-spoke model that the communities orchestrate.

“We’ve been interested in offering telehealth services in our community for some time but couldn’t find an option that meets the diverse clinical and technological needs of our residents,” explains Greg Kennedy, Vice President at Zon Senior Living in Florida. “With COVID-19 emerging as a serious threat, CareHero™ checks all the boxes and is coming out at just the right time.”

CareHero™ can be activated in any senior care facility in about an hour and physicians are invited to join the virtual care network at the discretion of the community. A scheduling function helps avoid conflicts with resident activities and other appointments. Since it’s cloud-based and web-driven, CareHero™ is simple to set-up, use and maintain. If the community also subscribes to the CareSynchrony® enterprise platform, virtual visits can be even more effective because physicians can securely access the residents’ care records, medication lists and other clinical data in real-time via the web or through a dedicated iPhone app.

“We are confident that CareHero™ will make a significant contribution to transforming care delivery for elderly populations because it builds on the extraordinary value that CareSynchrony® already creates for our customers,” stated Sanjay Gopal, PhD, MBA, Sanvis Health’s CEO and Founder. “As trusted partners to many leading senior communities in the United States, we are deeply focused on addressing and supporting all their evolving needs.”

Sanvis Health also recently released the CareSynchrony® COVID-19 Tools package aimed at easing the increased burden on senior living communities to safeguard elderly residents, clinical teams, operations staff and essential visitors during the pandemic. The package is available to all senior living communities at no cost.

The CareSynchrony® COVID-19 Tools package includes:

· COVID-19 Screener™ – A customizable web-based and Android app for clinical teams and operations staff to log into and self-screen at the start of each shift. Caregivers can also screen residents during their shifts. COVID-19 Screener™ enables the proactive collection of each person’s body temperature and responses to a customizable screening questionnaire. The application can help senior communities comply with new mandates and directives from federal and state health authorities.

· COVID-19 Symptom Tracker™ – A digital tool and dashboard for monitoring and tracking community residents who have presented as symptomatic positive. COVID-19 Symptom Tracker™ can help operators make informed critical decisions on behalf of their residents and community.
