Halo Wins Prestigious Doraland Health Silver Crown Award
Huntsville, AL-January, 2011 - Halo Monitoring's myHalo medical alarm system is a winner of the first annual 2011 Dorland Health Silver Crown Award in the Innovative Programs/Fall Prevention Program category. The award was presented as part of Dorland Health's Care Coordination Summit at The Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas. The judging panel and editorial team at Dorland Health recognized myHalo for its technological innovation and the exceptional service the alarm system provides to the over-55 population.
Halo Monitoring CEO Chris Otto accepted the crystal award.
"Halo Monitoring is pleased to be recognized by the judges and editorial panel at Dorland Health for the service and peace of mind the myHalo system provides to seniors and their families," says Otto. "It is inspiring to look around the Care Coordination Summit and see the innovative services and products that are lowering costs and improving care. We all need to continue that work because senior healthcare will change dramatically over the next decade as baby boomers age."
The advanced myHalo system is the first wearable medical alarm that sends an automatic alert- no need to push a button- in the event of a fall. In addition, myHalo is the first system of its kind to monitor the user's temperature, heart rate and physical activity 24/7. Through the use of a private, secure website, the system provides the ability for designated persons and family to "look-in" on an elderly loved one for peace of mind without invading their personal privacy.
Both finalists and winners are profiled in the March/April issue of Case In Point Magazine and recognized on www.dorlandhealth.com. A digital issue of Case In Point magazine can be downloaded at.http://accessintelligence.
