Halo Monitoring Launches Online Contest to Find and Reward Halo Heroes
Leading maker of personal emergency response system will award one year of 24/7 monitoring to 20 winners
Huntsville, AL-October 1, 2010- Halo Monitoring, maker of the most advanced fall detection system, invites families with elderly loved ones to enter the Halo Heroes contest and submit stories that promote our mission of helping seniors who live alone to live safely. By providing the capability of summoning medical assistance automatically if help is needed, without the need to push a button, the myHalo medical alert system enhances safety and wellness and assures security for seniors and peace of mind for their caregivers. Halo Heroes is a tribute to the “Hero Caregiver” who would appreciate and deserves a myHalo for their loved one, or a “Hero Senior” who would appreciate and deserves a myHalo for themselves.
“Halo Monitoring is a leader in innovative, age-in-place technology and this is an opportunity to honor the heroes in our lives who inspire others around them and motivate all of us to do more for our families and communities,” says Chris Otto, CEO of Halo Monitoring. “The Halo Heroes contest is a way to say thank you to the heroes in our lives for their daily sacrifices.”
How to Win
- The contest runs from October 1 through November 17. To enter, registrants must complete a brief entry form and write a short story about either a “Hero Caregiver” who deserves the myHalo system for a loved one, or a “Hero Senior” who deserves a myHalo system to help preserve their independence.
- Complete directions, entry forms, and rules and regulations are available on the Halo Monitoring website, www.halomonitoring.com.
What You’ll Win
- The myHalo medical alert system utilizes a small, comfortable, wireless device worn by a senior and monitors a user’s health, physical activity and much more. myHalo sends an automatic alert- no need to push a button- in the event of a fall. Emergency medical response teams, caregivers, and the individual’s family are all contacted. myHalo is also the first system of its kind to use a secure web portal to allow family members or designated caregivers the ability to “look-in” on a loved one’s situation 24/7, from anywhere, without invading a senior’s privacy.
- Winners will be selected at the end of the contest and a total of 20 myHalo medical alert systems and one year of monitoring will be awarded to the winners.
