Aging2.0 Announces Launch of New Membership Community, Aging2.0 Alliance

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 01, 2015

Aging2.0, the global innovation platform for aging and senior care, today announces the launch of the Aging2.0 Alliance – a new membership community for innovative senior care stakeholders and technology companies. The announcement was made today at the 2015 National Investment Center (NIC) Capital and Business Strategies Forum in San Diego, CA.

Starting with 72 'launch' members, the new Alliance program is now open for additional members. “This is a unique membership community for forward-looking senior care organizations looking to collaborate with each other and with top technology innovators.” said Scott Peifer, Vice President of Alliance Development at Aging2.0. “A concerted focus on innovation is more important than ever as senior care providers strive to meet the evolving needs, expectations and aspirations of this large and growing population. The Alliance enables them to do that more quickly and efficiently as part of a community of like-minded peers and collaborators.”

Members will receive priority access to the pipeline of innovation from Aging2.0’s network of startups and corporate technology members, facilitated knowledge sharing opportunities, and assistance in finding the right partners. Members also receive access to webinars and other online resources as well as discounted registration and exhibit opportunities at Aging2.0 events – including the invite-only Global Innovation Summit (May 18-19, 2015), the open-registration AgeTech Expo (November 19-20, 2015) and local Aging2.0 chapter events around the world.

"I knew upon hearing about the development of the Alliance that it was something we wanted to be a part of," said Torsten Hirche, President & CEO of Presbyterian Retirement Communities Northwest (PRCN), who is heading up the development of an Aging2.0 chapter in Seattle, WA. "We've been looking for ways to pair our spirit of innovation in aging services with the astounding technology capabilities available today. The Aging2.0 Alliance fills a long overdue need for a community where innovative senior care peers and tech entrepreneurs who are passionate about aging can get together to shape and scale new service delivery models."

Thirteen of the 72 launch members announced today were previously part of AgeTech West, which integrated into Aging2.0 at the beginning of this year.
