2023 MassChallenge and AARP AgeTech Collaborative Cohort
Boston, MA (May 15, 2023) – MassChallenge, the global network for innovators, and the AARP Age Tech Collaborative, invites 9 startups to participate in its inaugural AgeTech cohort. The AgeTech Collaborative program provides startups with the opportunity to interface with industry leaders, learn to navigate complex HealthTech regulations and policies, and opportunities to calibrate and shape their business strategies over a period of six months. Startups in the program are driving solutions in retirement fintech, medical device for seniors, and entertainment-for-seniors industries, representing 9 locations.

Will Magruder, Vice President of Partnerships at MassChallenge, emphasized the significance of the MassChallenge partnership with the AARP AgeTech Collaborative, underscoring their commitment to addressing global challenges. “With an exploding population over the age of 65, it is imperative that we find solutions to support healthy aging,” Magruder stated. He further highlighted the collective innovations of the selected founders, who are not only tackling complex problems such as care coordination, but also developing medical devices that hold the promise of making life easier for the aging population. “We are excited about the potential of these solutions and proud of our long-standing partnership with AARP.”
The 2023 AgeTech Accelerator sponsored by the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP® is a 6-week program intended to support startups with technology solutions designed to meet the needs of the world’s aging population and break into the $45 trillion AgeTech market. Startups selected for this program will work intensely on the desirability, feasibility and viability of their idea. Upon completion of the program, startups will be granted acceptance into the AgeTech Collaborative ecosystem of 240+ industry leaders, investors, testbeds, business services and startups working to make aging easier for everyone.
