Navigil unveils a new AI powered wellbeing solution for active seniors

Espoo, Finland – June 11, 2019 – Navigil, a specialist in white label telecare and personal safety solutions, has unveiled the Navigil Suite that consists of Navigil 580 wellbeing wristwatch and Navigil Service. The solution is powered by the latest mobile communication technology and artificial intelligence. It supports active aging persons who want to secure a long independent life while taking into account the concerns of their closest ones.

“With Navigil Suite, people can lead an active life safely knowing that they can easily communicate with family members and care specialists both in emergencies and any time of the day. Share and Care is the philosophy of our empathic engineering team. Shared wellbeing status and long-term trend alerts are the foundation for quality of life and preventive care,” says Matti Räty, CEO at Navigil. “Stylish Navigil 580 with up to four week battery life is a life changing innovation.”

Navigil 580 looks like an analog watch, but advanced technology resides under its surface. The optical heart rate monitoring and multiple sensors enable collecting activity and vital signs data. The showerproof watch has a built-in SOS phone, a pre-installed SIM card, and location tracking indoors with beacons and outdoors with GPS.

Identify persons who benefit from preventive care

Navigil Suite provides shared situational awareness of the wearer’s wellbeing, and it supports a path from active independent older adults to seniors demanding regular care by their family and care organizations. Navigil Suite AI service analyses data collected by Navigil 580 on user’s wellbeing. It alerts carers on adverse trends enabling preventive actions prior to user’s severe condition deterioration. For society, this saves lots of money in social and health care costs.

“We’ve been watching Navigil’s progress over a number of years and are excited to see the next phase of development, the 580 wristwatch.   Navigil have combined sensitive design with strong technology to create an offering that compares very well with the current marketplace for supported living devices,“ says Barry Nee, CIO at Care UK.

The results of the AI-based analysis are consolidated on the service’s wellbeing dashboard. The dashboard shows wearer’s current status and the achievement level of the daily activity target. The service analyses short-term and long-term data of the wearer’s activity and vital signs. For instance, poor sleep quality and a gradually delayed start of the day are clear indicators that demand attention. When Navigil Service detects long-term trend or sudden change to the worse, it notifies selected carers.

Navigil Service notification service can trigger automatic emergency calls as well as SMS, e-mail, and push to App notifications. Service APIs enable integration via digital interfaces with external services and Alarm Receiving Centres. Multiple routing options remain a core functionality of Navigil’s solution. Deployment of Navigil Suite is fast and easy: Navigil 580 is ready to go simply after selecting a wearer profile and defining phone numbers. Navigil Service activates instantly.

Navigil Suite will become available during Q4/2019.
