Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit to Feature Keynote Speakers from Google, Kaiser Permanente and Aging in Place Technology Watch

The 16th annual Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit and Business Plan Competition has added three keynote speakers to its lineup of global leaders in healthcare, technology, entrepreneurship and the booming $7.6 trillion longevity market.

The keynote addresses align with the Summit's theme, "Design, Innovation and Investment in the Longevity Marketplace." Miles Orkin, UX Vision and Culture Lead for Google Cloud, will address key ingredients for building creative culture in the workplace and delivering exceptional products. Amy Belt Raimundo, Managing Director for Kaiser Permanente Ventures, will offer a healthcare pragmatist's perspective on technology adoption, and Laurie Orlov, CEO for Aging in Place Technology Watch, will discuss aging-in-place technologies of the past, present and future. Other noted speakers include VR Voice founder Bob Fine and Stanford University's Walter Greenleaf, who bring decades of knowledge on virtual reality and digital medicine.

The two-day event takes place June 5-6 at the Claremont Hotel and Spa in Berkeley and is produced by Mary Furlong & Associates (MFA).

"We are thrilled to have such a diverse group of speakers, panelists and session leaders for this year's Summit," said Mary Furlong, MFA President and the Summit's Executive Producer. "This year's agenda is shaping up to be our most exciting yet."

The Summit includes angel investors, early-stage and growth-stage firms, and distribution partners all focused on investment in the longevity economy. It will also feature two pitch events.

The Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit Business Plan Competition gives emerging companies an opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges for feedback and the chance to win a $10,000 prize. Applications can be submitted HERE.

The Silicon Valley Innovation Competition, sponsored by AARP Innovation Labs, will return to the Summit for a second year. This year's competition is focused on promoting financial empowerment and resilience through solutions that leverage social connections, and the winning team will earn a place at this fall's AARP Innovation Hatchery Pitch Event in Washington, D.C. Applications can be submitted HERE.

Both competitions are accepting entries through this Friday, May 17, 11:59 PDT.

"The list of attendees and participants at the Silicon Valley Boomer Venture Summit is never anything short of remarkable," said Dan Hermann, President, CEO and Head of Investment Banking at Ziegler, a national boutique investment bank that manages the Ziegler Link·Age Funds, LP. "There are few, if any, other events that attract such a high caliber mix of power players and promising up-and-comers in the longevity market, giving start-ups access to needed resources and introducing investors to the industry's best and brightest innovators. We are thrilled to once again participate, as a presenting company and sponsor for this year's Summit."
