Patient App, Medication Reminders and CHF Surveys
Added to MobileCare Monitor
AFrame Digital announces the latest enhancements to its flagship MobileCare Monitor service. Release 4.9 adds features developed by AFrame Digital out of its NIH-sponsored research with heart failure patients. The latest enhancements promote patient and family engagement while expanding the range of alertable health-related parameters using AFrame Digital's real-time, continuous and nonintrusive monitoring solution.
Features include:
FDA Class II Clearance. CareStation Indications for Use have been elevated and cleared by the FDA from Class I to Class II, allowing for real-time display of charts and graphs based on physiological data, as well as intelligent alerts based on deviations from population norms, specified target ranges and personalized baselines.
Android Tablet and Mobile App. A new CareStation app for the popular Samsung Galaxy wireless tablet allows patients to take self-surveys and review selected graphs of their Wellness Indicators, vital signs and activity. The app is part of the AFrame Home Kit and is distinguished by its ease of use and failproof screen navigation.
Medication Reminders. The new CareStation app reminds patients when to take their next medication. Patients can press a button on their MyPHD wristwatch monitor to confirm when they take their medication.
Cardiology Health Survey. Health care providers can subscribe to several standardized cardiology surveys developed with medical researchers, allowing patients with CHF to enter self-assessment data using the AFrame Android app. The answers are automatically scored and graphically displayed for patient, clinician or care provider use.
CareStation Views for Family Members. A CareStation ID can now be assigned to a resident's family member so they can observe their loved one's Wellness Indicators, activity, meals attendance and degree of socialization in real time. View-only settings prevent users from Acknowledging or Resolving alerts or making any changes to system settings.
Store and Forward Activity Collection. A new version of the MyPHD wristwatch wearable monitor is available to gain a broader representation of activity. The latest MyPHD collects motion activity data while the user is outside the local AFrame mesh network. Data is uploaded seamlessly when the individual returns to the network.
Vital Sign Collection. A range of popular wireless medical devices is supported for nonintrusive collection of vitals, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, heart rate and weight. Data is stored in HIPAA-compliant servers in a world-class data facility with security, emergency power, and multiple peered network providers. Authorized clinicians can set real-time alert criteria on the vital signs, as well as pull charts and reports on historical data.
About MobileCare Monitor. MobileCare Monitor is a scalable, hosted service for care professionals and family members to promote patient engagement and remotely monitor patients in real time across the continuum of care. It combines patient safety and telehealth functionality, while nonintrusively and continuously gathering data about a person's activity. MobileCare Monitor combines these data with vital sign and gait stability data to create individualized baselines of wellness and enable personalized mobile alerts.
