eCaring Selected as Winner of Startupalooza’s Entrepreneur’s Marketplace

eCaring's CareTracker: an innovative, icon-based care management interface for a patient's home.

eCaring, an in-home care management system, yesterday beat out more than 45 early stage businesses to be named the winner of Startupalooza’s Entrepreneur’s Marketplace, a premier showcase of startups in the health care, high-tech and digital media sectors. The decision was made by a specialist panel of industry-leading angel and venture capital investors.

As the winner of Startupalooza’s, eCaring will be featured at Private Equity XLI, a national angel investor and venture capital summit. The company will be among an elite group of specially selected companies that will have the opportunity to present in front of more than 150 venture capital firms, private equity partnerships and angel investors. The conference will be held on September 20, 2012 at the Yale Club in New York City.

“The eCaring platform is the missing link in care management. This is the first time that a system has been developed to generate personal health records from the home, allowing hospitals, health care providers and families to track and respond to critical behavioral and clinical patient data in real time,” says Robert Herzog, CEO and founder of eCaring. “The opportunity to present eCaring’s benefits to the investor community will go a long way in helping us get the technology out into the field as quickly as possible.”

Startupalooza’s Entrepreneur’s Marketplace was organized by Health 2.0’s New York Chapter — a New York health care technology organization — and iBreakfast/iEvening, the longest running Digital Media Executive Forum in the country, with additional sponsorship from Foley & Lardner LLP.

“We are very proud to see eCaring win our first Health 2.0 NYC Startupalooza event,” says Alex Fair, organizer of Health 2.0, NYC Chapter. “As an active member of our community for over two years, we are also proud to see another successful health care innovator solving real problems for patients, providers, hospitals and partners.”
