Kerr Drug Now Offering ActiveCare in All 76 Stores


SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- ActiveCare, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ACAR), a technology service company that develops and provides 24/7 living assistance and emergency response solutions to seniors, announced today the introduction of its' ActiveOne PAL (Personal Assistance Link) device and service through regional drug store retailer Kerr Drug, a nationally recognized provider of pharmacy and other healthcare related services.

Interactive, informative displays are set up in all 76 Kerr Drug stores, near the pharmacy or clinic waiting areas, so independent living seniors and their caregivers can experience the ActiveCare service while they fill prescriptions or shop for healthcare supplies.


ActiveCare's services are provided through the innovative ActiveOne PAL (Personal Assistance Link) handset.  The handset, also a cellular telephone, has one-button service where, when activated, a live operator greets each caller by name, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. "The core of our business is the care our operators provide to members," continued Dalton. ActiveCare services range from GPS and fall detection technology, to turn-by-turn directions and concierge services that address the daily needs of members. "Our mission is to provide products and services that keep members' active, independent and living in their own home for an additional 1 to 5 years. We are continuing to develop and integrate new technologies that better care for our members including alarm, sensor, health and smart home technologies that we can provide to members today."


ActiveCare, in partnering with Kerr Drug, will provide additional pharmacy-related services to its members, including prescription refill reminders and savings on Home Healthcare supplies.  Kerr Drug store locations and ActiveCare display placement near the pharmacy, offering convenience to shoppers and added benefits exclusive to Kerr Drug customers.
